Sina Mirzaei

Managing director

Sina is a researcher and faculty member at Northern Arizona University. He has 6 years of experience with non-profit organizations. Since his entry into the field in 2018, Sina has applied his expertise in human rights advocacy and academic research to oversee the strategic direction of the organization. His role involves coordinating research initiatives, forming partnerships with key stakeholders, and leading advocacy efforts.

Turkan Bozkurt

Director of communications and outreach 

Turkan Bozkurt is a human rights activist and researcher based in Montreal, Canada. She earned her master's degree from the University of Toronto. She has experience working with non-profits focusing on Near and Middle Eastern Studies and Criminology and Sociolegal Studies. She was panelist at events such as the Economic Forum Poland, MESA, and NWSA. She oversees communication strategies, including publications, partnerships with think tanks and academic institutions, and public relations.
Turkan is good at public relations, media outreach, grant proposals, and event management. 

 

Vahid Qarabagli

Field Research Coordinator

Vahid holds a master’s degree in education and society from McGill University. His research focuses the role of subaltern educators engaged in the empowerment of minoritized languages. For each target region, Vahid is responsible for on-the-ground survey coordination and initial data quality checks.
Vahid is good at qualitative research methods, field research, and policy analysis.

Sara Zarouri

Project manager

Sara is the project manager of IPEK CENTER living and studying in Ottawa. She pursued her studies in Molecular Biology and Genetics at Memorial University of Newfoundland, with a keen interest in neurology, anthropology, and psychology, particularly at the societal level.
Sara is good at project management, resource management and interdisciplinary research.

Behzad Jeddi

Director of research and data analysis 

Behzad is a faculty member and researcher at Des Moines Area Community College. He manages all research activities, oversees survey design and implementation, and ensures data is analyzed to meet high academic and policy standards.
Behzad is good at quantitative research methods, surveying, and advanced statistical models.
